Occasionally after a long day of working (my last nerve) Brad likes to partake in a beverage. With an obscene amount of ice. And Squirt.

I prefer my whiskey straight and neat but I guess variety is what makes the world go 'round.

I bought Brad an ice maker last year for Christmas.

Yet tonight I find myself on a run to Sparky's to get a bag of ice.

Because the ice from the ice maker is "too watery".

Chemistry (physics? doesn't matter-- srsly. Amanda and Gerdes had to help me pass both) was never my thing, but I'm pretty sure all water has the same composition.

H2O, no?

Are there instances where there is more H in the H2O than the H in other H2Os? Or more O in the H2O than the O in other H2Os? Would this, could this make it "too watery"?

Christ. Now I'm freaking Dr. Seuss.

Don't you have an ice maker built into your freezer, you ask? Why, yes we do in fact. Ever since our fridge started on fire last year and we got a new one. Long story (aren't they all).

But one time nigh on 30 years ago, the line to the ice maker in the fridge in Brad's childhood home snapped and flooded the kitchen.

Great. We can use it to put out the fire.

He's been scarred ever since. So we can't connect it or use it.

So here I find myself relegated to runs for ice like some sort of eternal frat boy.

So. The ice maker is for sale.

And so is the husband.

Will consider trades for whiskey.

No rocks required.
