Let It Burn

Not too bad of a night last night, not great either. Piper had such a busy day with many visitors and very few (okay no) naps. At bed time she was so beyond tired that she couldn't even function. She was beside herself and we'll beyond the point of no return. After all the visitors left and it was time for bed she fought me with everything she had. Cried and screamed and hit and squirmed and threw herself back. I finally just wrapped her in a bear hug and rocked back and forth until she calmed down a little. Then I went to shift positions to lay her down and she got all worked up again. After fighting her for awhile I laid her down in the crib. She cried and cried. She rolled over and I rubbed her back and she finally dozed off. She woke up a couple more times throughout th night but I was able to get her back to sleep pretty easily. She woke up about 4 and was inconsolable so I put her in bed with me. So getting her to sleep turned out to be the roughest part of the night.

The next morning she was mostly back to herself. They let us go home thank The Lord. She slowly but surely improved. She went back to the dr on tues for a follow up and everything was good. However on Wednesday she got a horrible cough and she's been fighting that for ten days. She also has to go back to the kidney specialist for the UTI she had while in the hospital with the stomach flu. Kind of frustrated by it all!
